As a victim-survivor of both childhood neglect and sibling sexual abuse, Liz has walked-the-walk and now is passionate about talking-the-talk. Liz’s battle to move from victim to survivor culminated in one of the oldest cases of non-recent sexual abuse to reach the courts.
Liz’s early career as a serving police officer in the 1980s gives her a unique view of the legal processes of the 21st century and has armed her with a deep understanding of the benefits and pitfalls facing victim-survivors as they contemplate starting their own quest for justice. Liz is currently able to offer the following services:
PARTICIPATING IN EXPERT OR ADVISORY PANELS INCLUDING POLICE FORCES AND COUNSELLING CHARITIES
LIVED EXPERIENCE SUPPORT FOR VICTIM-SURVIVORS VIA PROFESSIONAL ORGANISATIONS
DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION/INFORMATIONAL RESOURCES (VIA LEARN IT ONLINE)
LIVED EXPERIENCE MEDIA INTERVIEWS AND PROJECT AROUND SIBLING SEXUAL ABUSE OR THE LEGAL PROCESS

"Liz was an incredible facilitator! She made me feel comfortable and gave me a safe space to reflect on my thoughts and feelings after listening to the speakers. Her lived experience was invaluable to hear, and she spoke about it so freely and thoughtfully, it made not only myself but everyone in the class able to open up about their own lived experiences. Thank you Liz for making these 2 days really enjoyable."
Laura Hearn, Detective Constable, Metropolitan Police Service
